Program: Holiday Party at Lake Forest Senior Living Community

Let it Snow. Let it Snow. Let it Snow. Peter Cadieux and Stan Ransom lead a wonderful and festive musical program at Lake Forest Senior Living Community. Club members shared good food, laughs and fellowship with Lake Forest’s residents during the delightful holiday party.
Led by William Verity, Plattsburgh High’s Select Chorus ‘Decked the Halls’ with their bright vocals, and Laurie Sullivan conducted a soulful saxophone quartet and flute ensemble. The holiday program continues to elicit warmth and shared fellowship among club and community members. Happy Holidays everyone!

This Week:

  • President Bonnie emphasized that this year is the 10th anniversary of the holiday program at Lake Forest. Since Rotary focuses on family during the month of December, it is appropriate that we reach out to others this time of year.
  • A collection was being conducted for the Elk’s Staff. It will be available next week at the regular club meeting at the Elk’s Lodge. The servers get tips just once each year, and this collection thanks them for their hard work.
  • There will be a board meeting Monday, Dec. 21 at the CCC Dining Hall at PARC.
Jack Prim announced that the membership committee is still collecting the committee signup sheets.
  • Next week is the last meeting for 2009. There will be no meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 30.
  • Bill Rowe announced that First Thursday will be held at Geoffrey's Pub Jan. 7 at 5 p.m.
