Program: Club Assembly

Visiting Rotarians: Scott Hayden (Glens Falls, NY), Honorary Members, John Ettling (SUNY Plattsburgh) and John Jablonski (Clinton Community College).

The following Rotaract Students were guests of Colin Read from PSU: Gloria Mhidze, Magreth Mallya, Ibrahim Mkondera, Weijian (Patrick) Moo, Daniella Kwayu, Keshagen Adderley, Saidi Mona, and PJ Shah.

Club Assembly Highlights:

Membership: The club is growing rapidly. Twelve sponsors have brought in sixteen new members since July 1st. That doesn’t include the four new members inducted today.

Foundation: In addition the great work done in support of the Rotary Foundation, three members have become benefactors. Thank you for your generosity!

Public Relations: The club is current! Thanks to members of the committee who are keeping the website updated and publishing the bulletin weekly. The push by the marketing committee to tell individual stories and increase club awareness in the community is paying off.

Service Projects: Any members looking for a fun way to get involved, ask committee chairs about these fantastic projects that take place throughout the year: Beartown Clean Up, Roducky Derby, Centennial Park, Holiday Gifts, Senior Citizen Gift Collection, Alternative Spring Break and the newest addition: The Bed Race.

Donations: The club’s many efforts to raise money has lead to almost $29,000 in donations being returned to our community. Be proud to know that every dollar you raise or pay in fines supports education, girl scouts, seniors, literacy, the United Way, many different scholarships and so much more.

Trivia: The Rotary Club of Plattsburgh, NY donated nearly $29,000 back to the community in 2009/2010.
