Attendance Makeup

How To Do a Makeup - And Keep Your Attendance at 100%

  1. Come to the weekly Wednesday noon meeting. The Program Committee has great speakers lined up!
  2. Makeup attendance at another club -- you can find times and locations on our Club website at Area Clubs. The closest three are:
    a) The Sunrise Rotary Club that meets at 7:30am here at the Elks Club on Tuesdays. b) The Champlain-Rouses Point Club that meets at 7:45am at Jreck Subs in Champlain each Thursday. c) The SUNY Plattsburgh Rotaract Club that meets during the academic year – ask VPColin or Ronna Bosko about the next meeting. d) If you are going out of town or traveling, ask Sec. Barb for the RI Directory to find a club near your location (maybe even in the same hotel!). Check online at www.rotary.org and go to the Members tab. Near the bottom on the page you will find how to do a makeup at other clubs.
  3. Participate on a committee. You can drop in to any committee at any time to try it on for size. These meetings last 45 minutes to an hour – what is required to count as a makeup.*
  4. Come to a Board meeting the third Monday of the month at Noon. You not only get credit, you get to voice your opinion about a current topic impacting our club. In the summer months (July & August) we meet in the Cougar’s Den inside the Moore Administration Building on the campus at CCC; the other 10 months we meet at the CCC Dining Hall off of Idaho Road on the former New Base.
  5. Participate in a service project like Road Cleanup, Bell-Ringing for the Salvation Army, Alternative Break Project.*
  6. Take an active part on the day of Roducky Derby, Rotary Radio Day or our Fishing Tournament – it’s fun and exciting.
  7. Make up online at www.rotaryeclubone.org, www.erotarylondon.org, www.rotaryeclubsouthwest.org, www.rotaryeclub34.org, www.rotaryeclubny1.com, www.rotaryeclub7090.org
  8. Sponsor two new members and receive one ‘free pass’ to use as a makeup any time during the Rotary year.
  9. Keep your ears open...who knows when President Bonnie might hand out credits for bringing a guest or sitting up front!
    * ask the Committee Chair(s) to submit your name for a makeup as soon as possible after the event.

The Four-Way Test

Is it the truth?

Will it build goodwill and better friendships?

Is it fair to all concerned?

Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
