Black Recipient of 2010 Monette-Webster Rotarian Award

Plattsburgh, NY — Assistant District Governor Bonnie Black of Plattsburgh was the recipient of the Monette - Webster Rotarian Award at the District 7040 Annual Conference on Saturday, Oct. 30, in Cornwall, Ont., Canada. Black, Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh, received the award from Brian Belanger, President of the Montreal Westward Rotary Club.

The Monette - Webster Rotarian Award was established by the Montreal Westward Rotary Club in 2003 in memory of two outstanding members: Dr. Guy Monette and Peter Webster. The Award honours a special Rotarian in District 7040 who epitomizes the "object of Rotary". The chosen candidate should have consistently fostered the ideal of service in:

1) The development of acquaintance.
2) The promotion of high ethical standards in business, profession or vocation.
3) Service in personal, business or community life.
4) The advancement of international understanding, good-will and peace.

The Monette-Webster Rotarian Award is presented at the Annual District Conference by the President of the Montreal Westward Rotary Club.
