Local Vt., Anglers Take Cash Top Prizes in Rotary Fishing Classic

PLATTSBURGH, NY __ After Jim Hallock weighed his 8 lb. 4.5 oz. salmon at the Apple Island (VT.) weight station early Friday afternoon, he hoped it would keep him in first place in the 23rd Annual Plattsburgh Rotary International Fishing Classic on Lake Champlain. He didn’t have much to worry about for the rest of the competition. more

Plattsburgh Rotary Club “Roducky Derby” Makes Successful Impact

PLATTSBURGH, NY – On Saturday, Sep. 13, the Plattsburgh Rotary Club hosted the ninth annual Roducky Derby during the Battle of Plattsburgh Commemoration Weekend.  With over 700 little yellow “roduckies” competing for a list of 25 prizes donated from local businesses, the Derby was a spectacle for children and adults alike. more

Keith Tyo Named Rotarian of the Year

PLATTSBURGH, NY __ The Rotary Club of Plattsburgh has named Keith Tyo Rotarian of the Year for 2007-08. Tyo, executive assistant to the president at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, was presented with the award during the Club’s July 30th meeting. more
