During the first quarter century of existence as our nation endured the Great Depression, Prohibition and World War II, the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh responded to many community needs through local programs including the Community Chest (predecessor of the United Way), Children’s Clinic (predecessor of BHSN), City Public Library, March of Dimes, City Youth Commission, and even the improvement of City lighting.

Rotary Board Meeting - The next Rotary Board meeting is regularly scheduled for the 3rd Monday of the month at MHAB. However, due to MLK Day, the next meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 26, at noon at MHAB. Reminder - new members are required to attend a board meeting as part of their steps from a red to blue badge.
New Member Orientation - the next session will be held on Friday, February 6th at 8:00 AM at 53 Court Street.
Attendance is required for all Red Badge members before they can be advanced to Blue Badge status. This session will cover expectations, procedures, and key information needed to move forward as an active member.
Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can begin on time. If you have any questions or concerns about attending, reach out to Steve Kende.
Centennial Committee - The next meeting is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 at noon virtually. Here's the link:

Membership Committee - This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 11:10 am. The next meeting
will be on Wednesday, Jan. 21st (please note the change due to the CCC Site Visit on 1/14).
Fishing Classic Committee - In preparation for the 40th annual Fishing Classic June 5 - 7, 2026, the committee will meet monthly via a Zoom call on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Program Committee - This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 1st Monday of the month. The next meeting is on Feb. 2, 2026,at noon at MHAB. Thank you to Shelby Englhardt for stepping into the chair of the Program Committee. If you have any ideas or would like to join the committee, please reach out to Shelby.
Service Committee - The Service Committee will be meeting bi-monthly going forward. It will be the first Wednesday at 11 am at MHAB. The next Service Committee meeting is Feb. 4, 2026. Save the date for Rotary's Big Day of Service on May 16.
Public Relations Committee - The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, after the weekly meeting.

Fishing Tournament needs YOUR feedback and sponsorship!
Robert Swem needs to hear from you. He'd like to know what was missing or what you might need in the Weigh Station Kits. The committee wants to ensure you have everything you need for a successful weigh-in!
Kira Witherwax launched this year's sponsorship program. Look for flyers on the table at meetings over the next month. Sponsorships are due by March 20th in order to get the full benefit of sponsorship materials.

Giovanna is vice president of Senior Treasury Management and a sales officer with NBT Bank. Gia graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Business Administration from SUNY Plattsburgh. A lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma, she looks forward to participating in the club's service and fundraising activities. Her sponsor is Heather Couture.
