Clinton Community College Site Visit

Join Ken Knelly and Steve Frederick at the new CCC campus on January 14. Follow the signs to park behind the building and meet in room 111. Watch for a special lunch order to arrive. Lunch will be delivered and provided on campus. 

Save Your Holiday Cards & Decor

After the holidays, bring your unwanted cards and decor to Rotary.  Both will be repurposed for the next year as a way to reduce and reuse!

Rotary Foundation 

It's time to make your year-end gift to support the Rotary Foundation.  Envelopes will be handed out at our next meeting, or you can go online to make your donation here.  To make your gift online, you will need to click on My Rotary and log in.

Fishing Tournament needs YOUR feedback and sponsorship!

Robert Swem needs to hear from you. He'd like to know what was missing or what you might need in the Weigh Station Kits. The committee wants to ensure you have everything you need for a successful weigh-in! 
 
Kira Witherwax launched this year's sponsorship program. Look for flyers on the table at meetings over the next month. Sponsorships are due by March 20th in order to get the full benefit of sponsorship materials.

The first meeting of the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh was held on March 3, 1926. The club was officially chartered on April 1, 1926, with 20 outstanding members of the Plattsburgh community becoming Rotarians. 
 

Committee Meetings

Please check with the Committee Chairs for any specific meeting details.
 
Rotary Board Meeting - The next Rotary Board meeting is regularly scheduled for the 3rd Monday of the month at MHAB.  However, due to MLK Day, the next meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 26, at noon at MHAB.  Reminder - new members are required to attend a board meeting as part of their steps from a red to blue badge.

Centennial Committee - The next meeting is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 at noon virtually.  Here's the link: 
 
Environmental Committee - This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 1st Thursday of each month at noon. The next virtual meeting is on February 5th. 
 
Membership Committee - This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 11:10 am.  The next meeting
will be on Wednesday, Jan. 21st (please note the change due to the CCC Site Visit on 1/14).
 
Fishing Classic Committee - In preparation for the 40th annual Fishing Classic June 5 - 7, 2026, the committee will meet monthly via a Zoom call on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m.  The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 27. 
 
Program Committee - This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 1st Monday of the month.  The next meeting is on Feb. 2, 2026, at noon at MHAB. 
 
Service Committee - The Service Committee will be meeting bi-monthly going forward. It will be the first Wednesday at 11 am at MHAB. The next Service Committee meeting is Feb. 4, 2026.  Save the date for Rotary's Big Day of Service on May 16.
 
Public Relations Committee - The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, after the weekly meeting.

Newest Rotarians

They are Audra Squier and Sarah Chase
 and were inducted at the Jan. 7 meeting.
Audra Squier is a technical solutions consultant at Twinstate Technologies. She looks forward to participating in the club's service and fundraising activities.
Sarah Chase is a staff accountant at Twinstate Technologies. A former member of our club, she previously served as co-chair of the Environmental Sustainability Committee and received the club's Rising Star Award in 2023.  Alissa Momot sponsored both.
