Please wear your Rotary Fishing Tournament shirts to Rotary this week. This is a great opportunity to take pictures and share them on social media to keep the buzz going about this year's tournament. Dana will have volunteer shirts available for those who are new to volunteering this year. Dana will also have this year's shirt and hats available for purchase at the meeting. Shirts and hats are $15 each.
There are still some critical openings at weigh stations. Please get in touch with Betsy Vicencioif you can help with an open shift. Thank you to everyone who has committed their time to the Fishing Classic. Enjoy your time together!
Paul Harris Fellow Recognition
It is time to submit nominations for this year's Paul Harris Recognition. The nomination form is included in Nicole Laurin's email of May 19th. Please send nominations to Nicole Laurin by 5/28 (TODAY) at noon.
Some FAQs we usually get asked:
Do they have to be members for a certain amount of time? Not necessarily, but we do consider that a factor when reviewing nominations.
They already received the award several years ago. Can they receive it again? Sort of. If they have already been named a Paul Harris Fellow, they could be honored with a "5 Sapphire Pin."
I am not sure if they would be considered for this award. Should I nominate them? Absolutely. The committee will review their service to the club, community, and other organizations, and determine who will be honored this year, so you never know! Sometimes, you may be aware of some of the things a fellow Rotarian is involved in, but there may be even more, and we can conduct a little research to find out.
