As posted in last week's bulletin, the Sunrise Rotary Club has organized a Corn Maze at Rulfs Orchard on Saturday, October 18th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
This family-friendly event is open to all—bring kids, grandkids, or enjoy the fun! A portion of ticket sales will be donated to benefit World Polio Day (officially observed on October 24th), supporting Rotary’s mission to eradicate polio worldwide.
Our Club has been invited to join, but Emily & Bonnie had a WONDERFUL IDEA! President Betsy is got a hip replaced and is going to put it to the test - all in the name of ending Polio! Here's how it works: President Betsy is going to navigate the Corn Maze at Rulfs - can you guess how long it'll take her? Place your bet ($5 minimum) on Betsy! Whoever guesses closest to Betsy's actual time - wins a fabulous prize! But most importantly, all 'bets' will go to our fight to eradicate Polio world-wide!
To Participate:
How do I place my bet as to how long it will take Betsy to get through the Corn Maze? Emily will be handing out envelopes with betting slips at our next meeting, which is where you'll indicate how long you think it'll take Betsy to get through the maze.
Can I pay on Venmo?
Yes! Cash & check will be accepted as well. If you can't wait until our next meeting to place your bet, go ahead & Venmo, just include 'Bettin' on Betsy' in the transaction note.
But, how will you know my bet if I do a Venmo in advance? You can complete your betting slip at the meeting, just make a note if you already paid with Venmo.
Venmo your bets to @Plattsburgh_Rotary! Let’s show our support, have some fun, and make a difference!
